Faction dossier: the Mori don't want your territory
The Mori are the rival you will see most. They fly ships that heal, they do not take prisoners — they take people — and that changes how you fight.
A rival, not a boss
The Mori show up early and keep showing up. They are an ancient collective consciousness flying ships that were grown, not built — psionic, regenerating, patient. You are not going to wipe them out. You are going to keep meeting them, in worse shape each time, and decide what a system is actually worth.
Why they feel different in combat
Mori hulls repair between turns, which punishes chip damage and rewards commitment. Their boarding pressure means a battle you technically win can still cost you an officer. When a Mori line closes, the question stops being 'can I kill it' and becomes 'what am I willing to lose to hold this position.'
The Veil Touched
The Veil Touched are what is left of people the Mori got halfway through. They are allies, they are wreckage, and they are the clearest argument in the game for why you keep fighting an enemy you cannot beat.
And the rest of the roster
There are ten factions in the campaign. One of those records is sealed, and we intend to keep it that way until you meet it yourself. Wishlist on Steam and you will find out on schedule.
